Printing Quality

At We Make T-Shirts, quality starts before your order ever reaches the press.

Every order is professionally reviewed and prepared for production by our experienced artwork and production team. We use commercial-grade printing and embroidery equipment and professional production processes designed to deliver vibrant color, clean detail, consistent placement, and durable results.

Professional Artwork Preparation

You don't need to submit perfectly print-ready artwork.

When needed, our artwork team will professionally prepare your design for production. This may include:

• Background removal
• Image cleanup
• Edge cleanup
• Straightening
• Resolution enhancement
• Sizing adjustments
• Color optimization for printing
• Other production-related improvements

Our goal is to preserve your original design while preparing it to reproduce properly and professionally.

Artwork enhancement is not a logo redesign or custom graphic-design service. Unless specifically requested and agreed upon, we do not automatically redesign logos, select different brand colors, rewrite text, replace design elements, or make subjective creative changes on your behalf.

Your Final Production Artwork

The garment preview you see while placing your order displays your original uploaded artwork and is intended as an approximate representation of your design on the garment.

After your artwork has been professionally prepared, we'll send you an FYI preview of the final production artwork that will actually be used to produce your order.

This is not a new shirt mockup or an approval request.

No approval is required, and your order will automatically continue into production unless we specifically contact you and request approval or additional information.

Please review your FYI production artwork preview when you receive it and contact us immediately if you notice an error.

Professional Printing

Most of our full-color apparel is produced using professional Direct-to-Film (DTF) printing, allowing us to reproduce detailed, vibrant, full-color artwork on a wide variety of garments.

We also offer screen printing and embroidery for qualifying orders when those decoration methods are better suited for the project.

The decoration method used may vary depending on the product, artwork, quantity, and requirements of the order.

Print Size & Placement

Unless a specific size has been requested and accepted before production, we use professional standard sizing and placement.

Our typical production sizes are:

Full Front / Full Back: Approximately 11" wide and typically 12"–14" tall, depending on the shape and proportions of the artwork.

Left Chest / Right Chest: Approximately 3.5"–4.25" wide, depending on the shape and proportions of the artwork.

Artwork is generally produced at the same print size throughout an order rather than being individually resized for every garment size.

Smaller garments, youth sizes, pockets, specialty garments, seams, zippers, or other limited print areas may require artwork to be reduced to fit properly.

If you require a specific print dimension or placement measurement, please provide those instructions when placing your order.

Color Reproduction

Colors displayed on phones, computers, tablets, and other screens may differ slightly from the finished printed product.

Screen settings, brightness, garment color, fabric, printing method, ink characteristics, lighting, and the differences between digital displays and physical printing can all affect how a color appears.

We professionally prepare artwork for printing and work to produce vibrant, consistent results, but digital colors should not be considered guaranteed exact physical color matches unless a specific color-matching requirement has been requested and accepted before production.

Normal Production Variations

Custom apparel production involves normal manufacturing tolerances.

Minor variations may occur in:

• Print placement
• Print dimensions
• Color reproduction
• Ink texture
• Embroidery placement
• Embroidery thread
• Garment sizing
• Garment construction
• Garment color between production batches

Reasonable variations inherent to custom printing, embroidery, and garment manufacturing are normal and are not considered production defects.

We Stand Behind Our Work

We take pride in every order we produce and guarantee our workmanship.

If we make a production mistake or your order contains a manufacturing defect attributable to We Make T-Shirts, contact us within 7 days of receiving your order.

We'll review the issue and, when a production error is confirmed, determine the appropriate solution.

If we make the mistake, we'll make it right.
